About the College

Halifax College is the largest of the 9 colleges at the University of York. It was founded in 2001 and is named after Edward Wood, the 1st Earl of Halifax.

Located next to Heslington village, mid-way between Heslington East and West campuses, Halifax boasts a diverse and vibrant student community with a wide range of events and activities held throughout the year.
